Time to Villa Ruiz from Frigiliana?

Drive out of Frigiliana towards Nerja, take the first turning on the right and down the country road (lomo de las cabras). Reach the third right turning and take it, climb a small hill 100 meters, turn right in front of you are the gates of “Villa Ruiz”.  A driving journey of 10-12 minutes, 3.4 Km (2 miles), but country roads, so slower.

What’s the villa like?

This is truly a charming 2 bedroom villa which is primarily the owners weekend retreat.  Being the owners own retreat, none of the furniture feels like “Aunties Leftovers.” The villa sits on the brow of a hill. It offers stunning views East towards Frigiliana and South down the valley to Nerja and the sea.

Accommodation

A large open plan salon/dining room. Two bedrooms with a luxurious bathroom (shower only). American style open-plan kitchen and great outside space. Large (9x5m) pool with grassed area and terraces both east and south facing. This is a relaxed and comfortable retreat for a family or a group of friends on holiday.

Salon and dining room are both spotlessly clean with plenty of seating. The salon is comfortably furnished with facing winged arm-chairs, the TV unit has Spanish & European sat TV, so there are some UK channels, (mostly news). A portable device can be used and amplified via the stereo’s USB and iPhone dock points.  Internet via a Wifi feed is also provided.

The fully equipped kitchen has: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, juicer, iron etc.  Situated outside the villa in the garage below lives the washing machine.

Off the rear a small hall, for access to the bedrooms: Master bedroom is a large double. Bedroom 2 is furnished as twin singles. Both bedrooms have wardrobes, side tables, both main and bedside lamps.

Outside

The accommodation is all on one floor and has large comfortable wrap around terraces, with views across the gardens and the pool towards Frigiliana or down the Nerja valley towards the sea. The position affords panoramic sea or mountain views in either direction.

The pool, beautifully positioned and a great place to relax has grassed off sunbathing area, with beds, tables and chairs.

The villa has private off-street parking for about 5 cars, the access road to the villa’s gates is privately shared by the other neighbour, so quiet, no passing traffic.

The walk to Frigiliana is around 40-50 minutes. It’s pleasant in Autumn or Spring but not a Summer walk. The route is all concrete and uphill most of the way.

If you search for more details on this villa and see it on other sites, they all use the same (generic) photos. That’s because they aren’t here. They aren’t in Frigiliana, they are agencies just earning on your booking.

• All prices are for 7 nights (minimum). Payments only accepted in Euros €
• Entry is post 2pm on day of arrival, exit by 10am on day of leaving. If you require an early arrival or late exit, you must ask and have it confirmed by us in advance.
• If the Villa is used by 7 persons a 10€ per night Supplement is added and €15 per night in July or August
• Booking Fee : All prices are subject to a 5% booking fee. From that, we pay taxes & VAT - we also don't like to charge, but the government want their cut, sorry!
• Bookings are Saturday - Saturday from March through to November, other entry exit days may be accepted, but please check with us first.
