Cortijo Lomosol

Between Frigiliana and Nerja, down “loma de las vacas” past the modern houses, down towards the rio seco, which means it’s still local to the village. On the left of the hill sits cortijo lomasol a nice private 2 bed country farmhouse with off-street parking, receiving lot of sun. The farmhouse has a great pool, fabulous gardens and outstanding views across the frigiliana countryside, so an undisturbed holiday location.

This cortijo (farmhouse) is a great two bedroom family holiday home. It has good terraces, great accommodation throughout and overall feels like a home. It’s situated in a fabulous place to stay for a family or a group of friends on vacation in this area.

Accommodation.

The accommodation is all on one level, self-contained in its own private gardens, private parking and has a 8 x 4m pool (approx).

Inside, the accommodation, all on one floor, consists of; a good sized salon/dining room and kitchen, two bedrooms and family bathroom.
The main salon has a 3 seater sofa and one armchair centred around the open fire, a flat-screen TV with Spanish digital box
(English language channels included).

The dining area with seating for 4 and space for 6 sits at the other end of the salon adjacent to the modern kitchen.

Mostly in Summer guests take food outside to dine al fresco on the shaded terrace overlooking the mountains.

The kitchen is a good size, perfect for a family. It’s fully equipped; hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher.. all the conveniences of a modern home. The washing machine (as is the style in Spain!) is situated outside the house in its own cupboard near the washing lines.

There is one (1) double bedroom and one (1) twin single bedroom, both a good size, spotlessly clean and have more than adequate storage space.

Outside? that’s where we’ll be.

The swimming pool is aprox 8 x 4 meters, and nicely shaped. Roman steps for entry / place for young or inexperienced swimmers. The pool is surrounded by plenty of sun beds, plenty of seating and loads shade off parasols or the shaded terrace.
The views of the back of the gardens are to the local countryside. The gardens are nicely kept, the side exit (away from the pool) leads to private parking / driveway with space for about 3 cars. The house is surrounded by advocado trees and fences.

At the top of the pool area (adjacent to the table and chairs of the shaded terrace) is a proper brick built summer barbecue.

The cortijo’s location is ideal to visit and holiday in Frigiliana, but also if you love and want to be part of Nerja it’s nightlife and buzz, is as equally accessible. Enjoy your time and later, a short taxi ride back home. Escape the maddening crowds for the peace of a hillside retreat.
It’s also easy to jump into the car and drive to either Nerja or Frigiliana both of which are a short 5-10 minutes drive away (around 20 mins walk to Frigiliana).

From the cortijo, to the top of loma de la vaca is 1.5Km and 3Km to Frigiliana (aprox.)

If you search for more details on this villa and see it on other sites, they all use the same 7 photos. That’s because they aren’t here. They aren’t in Frigiliana, they are agencies just earning on your booking. Do you want to know why you shouldn’t use them? If you have a problem, they really aren’t here to help.

All prices are for 7 nights (minimum). Payments only accepted in Euros €
Entry is post 2pm on day of arrival, exit by 10am on day of leaving. If you require an early arrival or late exit, you must ask and have it confirmed by us in advance.
If the Villa is used by 7 persons a 10€ per night Supplement is added and €15 per night in July or August
Booking Fee : All prices are subject to a 5% booking fee. From that, we pay taxes & VAT - we also don't like to charge, but the government want their cut, sorry!
Bookings are Saturday - Saturday from March through to November, other entry exit days may be accepted, but please check with us first.
