Villa dolores is a charming and very comfortable 2 bedroom - 2 bath country villa set in an elevated position looking back across the barranco with unspoilt panoramic views of the village of Frigilana, the Sierra de Almijara Mountains and along the Higeron gorge to Nerja and the sea.

The villa sits 1.3 kms from Frigliana where walking along the narrow cobbled streets you will find numerous bars with the famous locally produced wine and many and varied restaurants. Frigiliana has for the shopper; numerous local wine, pottery and distinctive Arab design ceramic craft shops. The village annualy celebrates it's 3 cultures (Jews, Christians & Muslims) that live / lived in harmony in the village over the years. For walkers, climbers and nature lovers Sierra de la Almijara forms the back drop of Frigliana where you can spend hours exploring the well signed walking routes and river.

Frigliana has a myriad of local supermarkets where you can buy all that's needed for your stay, if you feel the need for larger supermarket, Nerja, Torrox and Velez Malaga are all but a short drive away. Only 6 km to the south is Nerja and the sea with dramatic coastal views, beaches and water sports. Also from Frigiliana many day trips are possible to places like: Malaga, Gibralter, Marbella, Seville, Antiquera and Granada.

Villa Dolores is accessed via a country lane, this is shared by one other villa near enough to walk to, yet far enough to maintain your own privacy. Villa Dolores was built in the last couple of years and was constructed to a very high standard. The owners (who speak both: Spanish and English) understand what's required as a suitable small family holiday home and have finished the house with this in mind.

The house has wonderful views over the village to the Almijara mountains, down to the sea and Nerja and across the local countryside. The resort town of Nerja with its lovely beaches and famous caves can be reached in around 15 minutes.

The interior of the house has been maintained to a high standard and and furnished in a traditional rustic style.

The entrance hallway leads directly to a large open plan salon with kitchen/dining room. The salon is comfortably furnished with two sofas making an L around a central coffee table which faces the TV / Digital Satelite receiver etc. this is a comfortable space, ideal for those looking to escape the heat of the mid-day sun and relax in the shade. The Dining area has a table set for and sits 4 comfortably, but has ample space for more if required.

The kitchen is designed in a typical Andulcian rustic style, however it is amply serviced with: fridge/freezer, microwave, hob and oven, dishwasher, ironing board, cofee maker, toaster, juicer etc.

The villa has 2 bedrooms (one double with en-suite) and a 2nd bedroom with twin single beds. Both bedrooms are to the rear of the house, where the land line offers more shade and relieve from the Summer sun. Both rooms are clean and comfortable, both have walk in wardrobes and bedside drawer units. For those who need relieve from the blistering climate, both bedrooms have traditional Andalucian window panels, which when closed maintain the bedroom as a dark and cool space away from the sun.

The outside space in this villa is great it has loads of grassed lawns, terraced areas both shaded and open to the sun, a fabulous pool (6m x 4m) to the side of the villa with the stunning backdrop of Frigiliana village to the rear.

There are already, plenty of sunbeds and shaded seating areas too. These both provide retreat from the sun but also additional dining area or seating area outside from the main salon.

Outside the villa is a great place to have a barbecue or just sit and soak in the sun and Andalucian countryside.
